On Thursday evening, he got off the bus at a petrol station on the S1 route, and then got lost in the nearby forest. The 47-year-old was searched all night by the police with a tracking dog and the fire brigade. The next day, in another part of the Silesian Voivodeship, the all-night action took place again. This time the police and firemen were looking for a 15-year-old boy who had not returned to the camp after classes.
On Thursday, July 21, before 10 p.m., police officers from the Bieruń police station received a report that in the forest complex near ul. Hołdunowska in Lędziny (Silesian Voivodeship) a man got lost.
“It has been established that he got off the bus at the gas station on the S1 route and has been wandering around the forest for about two hours, unable to get out of it, and his phone battery is running out” – informed the Provincial Police Headquarters in Katowice.
The duty officer immediately directed all patrols on duty to the spot. They were also supported in their search by officers from the Prevention Department of the Police in Katowice, a guide with a tracking dog from the Bielsko police station, as well as firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Lędziny and the State Fire Brigade in Tychy.

Thanks to the involvement of uniformed officers, a 47-year-old man was found safe and sound around 4.00 in the area of ul. Silesian Piasts in Mysłowice. After taking care of the man and offering him food and water, officers handed him over to his family.

The boy was reported missing in the evening to the police, who took action on the spot. After midnight, the police asked the fire brigade for help. Dozens of firefighters were sent to the action – from the unit in Racibórz and volunteer units, as well as a troop of the Specialist Search and Rescue Group from Jastrzębie-Zdrój, among others. with thermal imaging equipment.
As Chief Commissioner Mirosław Szymański said on Saturday, the information about finding the boy came from the management of the action before 10. A 15-year-old was found in the province of Opole. He made it through the night unscathed. But he did some kilometers in that time – explained the policeman.
A few days earlier, the ZHR camp in Kuźnia Raciborska was controlled by police officers from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Racibórz, representatives of the Poviat Sanitary and Epidemiological Station, Fire Brigade and Forest Guard.
As reported on Tuesday by the Racibórz police, accommodation conditions, safety of the camp area, medical availability, as well as compliance with fire and evacuation regulations were checked. Verified e.g. documents related to the registration of the event and the presence of appropriate personnel responsible for the safety and health of participants.
Out of control, preventive talks were held at the camp on road safety, safe use of the Internet, and the legal and health consequences of possessing and using drugs and legal highs.
