At night, firefighters put out a fire in an apartment in one of the blocks in Morąg. One person was evacuated from the balcony. It was most likely caused by cold fires.
The services received a report on the night from Saturday to Sunday after 1.30. A fire broke out in one of the apartments on the second floor of a block of flats in Morąg (Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship). All residents of the building evacuated themselves before the arrival of the fire brigade.
“The exception was a person who was in the apartment where the fire broke out. She was on the balcony. We brought her down the ladder to the balcony and handed her over to the medical services present on the spot” – informed the duty officer of the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Olsztyn.

The room and its furnishings were burnt: the carpet, curtains, the door to the next room, the plaster was blackened, the floor was damaged. Initial losses were estimated at around $20,000. zloty.

Initially – as emphasized by firefighters – cold sparks were indicated as the cause of the fire. The fire department stipulates that this cause will be thoroughly determined in the course of the investigation conducted by the police.
