The meeting of the National Security Council, convened by President Andrzej Duda, has begun. What is the National Security Council
The National Security Council is the president’s advisory body on matters of internal and external state security. It consists of: the Speakers of the Sejm and Senate, the Prime Minister, the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense Ministry of Interior and Administrationthe minister coordinating special services, the heads of groups that have a parliamentary or deputies’ club (or the chairmen of these clubs), the heads of the president’s office and the National Security Bureau.
Council meetings are convened by the president, who also determines their topics.
