In turn, the president appointed Brig. Gen. to the position of commander of the Territorial Defense Forces. Krzysztof Stańczyk – who until now temporarily served as the commander of WOT.
The BBN also reported that the president appointed Lieutenant General Sławomir Wojciechowski, the Polish Military Representative to the NATO and EU Military Committees, to the rank of general of the Polish Army.
The announcement stated that the acts of appointment would be presented by the president on the May Third National Day.
