President of Lithuania: suspects in the attack on Leonid Volkov, Navalny's associate, detained in Poland

Two people suspected of attacking Russian oppositionist Leonid Volkov have been detained in Poland, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda announced during a press conference on Friday. Volkov, a close associate of the late Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, was attacked in Vilnius on March 12.

Gitanas Nauseda, as reported by the first channel of the Lithuanian television LRT, thanked Poland for the “great work it has done.”

– I talked about it with the Polish president and thanked him for the excellent cooperation – said Nauseda. – (The suspects) will be handed over to Lithuania soon after the proceedings are completed, he added.
