The government in Kiev has banned the use of the letters Z and V on individual car license plates as symbols of the war that Russia is waging against Ukraine. It was also forbidden to place symbols related to Nazism, communism and the Russian army on such boards.
About the resolution on this matter, which the Council of Ministers Ukraine adopted on April 21, it was reported on Saturday.
“It is forbidden to use the letters Z and V, the use of which on individual registration marks suggests the symbolism of the Russian invasion of Ukraine” – explained the Interior Ministry of Ukraine.
Other restrictions
According to the government’s decision, communist and Nazi inscriptions and symbols will also not be allowed on individual license plates.
“Ukrainian registration marks cannot include emblems of terrorist state authorities (Russia) and the armed forces of Russia: land forces, air and space forces, navy, strategic missile forces and others.
