Lubuskie police have been looking for a missing 68-year-old since Thursday. The man left the house in Trzemeszno Lubuskie and there was no trace of him. – The disappearance has been qualified to the first, and therefore the highest search category – informed Klaudia Biernacka from the Sulęcin police. On Sunday, the police announced the end of the operation. A man’s body has been found.
– We would like to inform you that the search for a missing 68-year-old resident of the Sulęcin district has been completed. His body was found in a field near the town of Glisno, said Staff Sergeant Klaudia Biernacka from the District Police Headquarters in Sulęcin on Sunday.
More than 100 people were looking for the 68-year-old. The search lasted for several days
The search for the missing man began on Thursday.
– The man left the house at Poznańska Street in Trzemeszno Lubuskie, most likely between five and six in the morning and went in an unknown direction. He was last seen by family members on February 8, 2023 around 10 pm, Biernacka informed.
Police also provided a description of the man.
Police officers from Sulęcin, supported by officers from the Independent Police Prevention Sub-unit in Gorzów Wielkopolski and Zielona Góra, were involved in the search. Firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Brigade from Trzemeszno Lubuskie, Templewo, Zbąszynek and Jarogniewice, as well as the Water Volunteer Rescue Service from Świebodzin, also joined the activities.

A tracking dog from the Gorzów Municipal Police Headquarters and two drones at the disposal of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gorzów Wielkopolski and firefighters from Jarogniewice were used for the search.
