They had a GPS jamming device in the car and various tools with them. Three men trying to break into an ATM in Zagnańsk (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship) were detained by the police. They’ve already been charged.
Two residents of the Pomeranian Voivodeship and a resident of Kielce were detained last week at one of the supermarkets in Zagnańsk. “Under the cover of night, the perpetrators tried to get to the money,” the police said on Wednesday (February 8).

– The men tried to break the security of the ATM using various tools to get to the cash. They even planned to use their own car for this purpose, which had a device for jamming GSM and GPS signals. The detention carried out by the policemen was dynamic and, most importantly, effective – said the junior asp. Maciej Ślusarczyk from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Kielce. He added that the police had long suspected three men of planning criminal activities.
A 37-year-old inhabitant of Kielce and two residents of the Pomeranian Voivodeship – aged 31 and 19 – were taken to police cells. On Friday (February 3) they were brought to the prosecutor’s office, where they heard, among others, charged with attempted burglary, for which they may face up to 10 years in prison. The court decided to place the suspects in pre-trial detention for a month.
