This proves such a great sense of impunity. Mr. Ziobro simply thought he could do anything, said attorney Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram from the “Free Courts” initiative, referring to the documents found during a search in the house of the former Minister of Justice.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, searches were carried out in various places in the country at the request of the National Prosecutor's Office investigating the spending of funds from the Justice Fund. Among others, the house of Zbigniew Ziobro, former Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General, was searched.

He explained that it was about the case of the death of Zbigniew Ziobro's father. He specified that it was the archived original supervision file – We also found other documents. “Ziobro just thought he could do anything”

Attorney Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram from the “Free Courts” initiative commented on the case in the morning “WstaÅ„sz i pozna” on TVN24. – It's not about the fact that the prosecutor took home the original files of the case he was working on, I don't know, a complicated business case, and he just wanted to work on them at home. No, he took the files relating to his own private case, the originals of the files that should absolutely be in the prosecutor's office, because this is the standard, no one should take them away – she emphasized.

– This shows such a great sense of impunity. Mr. Ziobro simply thought he could do anything, she added.

As she said, “the originals should absolutely be in the court or prosecutor's office, these are the rules.” – And these originals should not leave the building of a public institution, and if this happens, we are dealing with a violation of the regulations or rules applicable in a given prosecutor's office – she said.

– In this case, we can talk about permanent deletion, because a lot of time has passed since the files were taken from the prosecutor's office. Mr. Ziobro is no longer the prosecutor general, and these files were still in his house, so perhaps the prosecutor's office will also look at this type of activities in terms of committing crimes – added Gregorczyk-Abram.

Gregorczyk-Abram: This is what searches look like in Poland. This is the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies

Referring to searches related to mismanagement of the Justice Fund, a TVN24 guest, emphasized that “this is what searches look like in Poland.” – And it is natural that if we have several suspects and a multi-threaded, evolving case, searches are carried out on all people at the same time. This is the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies. These searches always start in the morning and there is nothing unusual about it, she said.

– From what I followed, there were also adopted people there, and they were recorded by cameras, which is also not standard, so it seems, at least from what we know from the spokesman's declaration, that they were made in accordance with the law. And it also happens that if you can't get into the apartment because no one opens it, for example the prosecutor's office or the police, in this case, simply unscrew the lock because they want to obtain the evidence that is necessary to conduct the case – added the attorney.
