Two people suspected of robbery in one of the premises in Sztum were detained by the police. One hid behind the dryer, the other went to bed.
A robbery in one of the premises in Sztum (Pomeranian Voivodeship) took place on Thursday afternoon. According to the police, a young man entered the premises and pepper sprayed the employees. The second one at that time ran inside and stole the money.
Based on the information collected and the footage from the surveillance camera, investigators selected suspects who were arrested a few hours after the incident.
– One of them tried to hide from the police behind a clothes dryer, the other quickly went to bed. Both were taken into police custody – said the press officer of the Sztum police, Asst. pcs. Karolina Kosmowska.

The detained are two residents of Sztum, aged 30 and 45. As it turned out, they had committed similar crimes before. Now they operated in conditions of recidivism.
The police will apply for temporary arrest of the men. For robbery in conditions of recidivism, they face up to 18 years in prison.
