Ukraine. The head of the Polish team of medics: we had such a large number of wounded that we began to donate our own blood

Damian Duda spoke on Sunday morning on TVN24 about how he and his team help wounded Ukrainian soldiers. – Sometimes we go to the front line under fire and take the wounded from the soldiers who provide help on the spot. Sometimes we are on the front line with the soldiers for a few days. When such a soldier gets hit, we help him and pass the injured person on,” he said.

“There’s a whole team of people here who do a really good job. It can be said that all the cogs that we are here make people’s lives genuinely save – he added.

– Two days ago we had such a large number of wounded that there was no floor, and we began to donate our own blood ourselves, because it was so lacking – said Duda. He noted that “usually, after donating blood, a person must rest.” – We did not have time for this rest, because there were more wounded – he stressed.

“Unfortunately, I suspect these next few hours may be the same,” he said.

The head of the Polish team of medics was asked if he was afraid. – It’s good how fear is, because fear is a feeling that allows you to keep yourself in check, allows you to somehow have an orange light (on-red.) when it starts to get dangerous – he replied. – So we do everything to make this fear still there – he added.

Although, as he said, “one gets used to it”. – This is a war, there is a lot of all danger and evil that is concentrated on the earth at a very high level, so it is natural that this fear sometimes arises. You have to control it, he said.

– Fear is bad because it makes a person unable to do anything, he just freezes. Fear is a good feeling, he said.
