– Poland is under the influence of the extensive Nadja low-pressure air vortex centered in the region of Ireland. It directed towards our country a wide stream of mild, warm air from southern Europe and the Mediterranean Sea, but also a cold front, which will move over Poland from west to east on Thursday, bringing showers and cooling. Cold polar air will flow behind the western front, which will be felt primarily in the western and central regions of the country – explains tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek.

Thursday will bring moderate and heavy cloudiness with rainfall moving from west to east, up to 5 liters per square meter, in the north up to 10 l/sq m. There may be storms. The maximum temperature will range from 12 degrees Celsius in the Lubusz region, through 15 degrees C in the center of the country, to 17 degrees C in Mazovia and Podlasie. The wind will blow from the south, moderately, sometimes quite strongly, with gusts reaching speeds of up to 50-60 kilometers per hour.

According to the forecaster, the next day “another portion of heat from the south is expected to flow over Poland and push the front eastward.” – Rain fronts are also expected to stay away from our country on Saturday. The cold front over Germany is expected to approach only on Sunday. Polar Atlantic air masses pushing from the west will push the zone of cloudy clouds deep into Poland, significantly increasing the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms on Easter. Due to the entry of a zone of clouds and rain over an area located in a warm air mass, the front may dry out in places, marked only by an increase in cloud cover – explains Unton-Pyziołek. – During the holidays, it will move over Poland from west to east, and then it will cool down – he adds.

On Friday, cloudiness will be moderate, and at times it will become heavy in the north-west. In the afternoon, it rains up to 5 l/sq m in Western Pomerania. Thermometers will show a maximum of 13 degrees C in the Suwałki region, through 16 degrees C in the center of the country, to 18 degrees C in Lower Silesia. The wind will be south and west, moderate and quite strong, with gusts reaching up to 50-60 km/h in the south of the country.

Holy Saturday will bring sunny weather. The maximum temperature will reach from 17 degrees C in the Suwałki region, through 21 degrees C in central Poland, to 23 degrees C in Lower Silesia. The wind will blow from the south-east, moderate, sometimes quite strong, gusting to 60 km/h in the south.

Light and moderate cloud cover is forecast for Easter Sunday, which will increase to heavy cloud cover in the western, northern and central parts of the country, with occasional rainfall of up to 5-15 l/sq m. Thunderstorms are possible in the zone from Silesia, through the Łódź region and Masovia, to Masuria and Podlasie. The thermometers will show a maximum of 16-17 degrees C in Western Pomerania and the Lubusz region, through 22 degrees C in the center of the country, to 24 degrees C in Podkarpacie. The wind will be southerly, moderate and quite strong, gusting to 60-80 km/h in the south.

On Easter Monday, there will be heavy cloud cover with occasional rainfall of up to 5-10 l/sq m. in the west, north and center of the country. Thunderstorms may occur in the northeast. The maximum temperature will range from 15 degrees C in Pomerania, through 20 degrees C in the center of the country, to 22 degrees C in Podkarpacie. In most of the country, there will be a moderate, sometimes quite strong wind from the south-west, only in the west from the north, gusting to 50-70 km/h in the south.
