Minister of Defense German Boris Pistorius announced that his country will finance the purchase of three HIMARS systems For Ukraine.

– In cooperation with the Americans, we will purchase three launchers for Ukraine HIMARS. They come from the US armed forces and will be paid for by us, announced the head of the German Ministry of National Defense during a press conference.

The t-online portal reports that also on Thursday, Pistorius visited an arms company that produces, among others, Patriot defense systems. He mentioned that The contract is to be signed in the summer for the purchase of additional systems of this type.

In addition, the minister emphasized how important good relations, among others, between Europe and the United States are. He also mentioned the relations between all allied countries NATO and stressed how important the help of European countries is for Ukraine.

The politician also outlined how serious a danger Putin poses to Europe. He noted that a victory for the Russian leader would be “an encouragement to other autocracies.” – This cannot be allowed – said the minister, quoted by the Ukrinform agency.

War in Ukraine. Germany will help

The announced HIMRAS systems will not be the first in the Ukrainian army. The country in 2022 kept these systems from the United States.
